Twas a funny one this... Started with the soulful murmurings of Mayer Hawthorne then developed into straight up funk. Before I knew it there was skanking jump up and a smattering of dubstep not to mention a little drizzle of mellow lovliness in the form of the leisure society and the angel brothers.

An affectionate look at the Scottish Independent label Fence Records by Brazil Banks. Set up and run by King Creosote and Pictish Trail Fence Records lead the way in British "folk" music (although they'd probably disagree with the tag). Homemade artwork and packaging surround emotive music be it electronic, sea shanties or full band noise, recorded in studio, field or living room.
